Training the feel for the ball is often neglected in tennis training. Children and adults often have no understanding of how to play a short ball, even though they have been playing tennis for years. This is mainly due to the fact that they have spent years playing in a small court with a large loop and swinging motion. However, to play a short ball, for example a stop ball, I have to shorten my movement. That’s why it’s so important to incorporate the feel for the ball and the short stroke movements into your training. In this video, I show you how you can train this cooperatively with a group and the coach.
